FaceTime is a video-calling app that lets you make audio and video calls to other people over Wi-Fi or cellular networks. This article will show you how to use FaceTime on your Android device, as well as how to join a call from another person.

If you want to use or join FaceTime calls on your Android device, the first thing you need to do is make sure that you have a compatible device. A compatible device has an internet connection and Bluetooth capability.

FaceTime is well-known among iPhone owners. It’s similar to iMessage in that communication happens organically. However, whether you have an Android phone or a Windows PC, you may feel left out if your friends and family have iPhones or Macs.

Apple has now removed the restriction, allowing non-Apple users to utilize the FaceTime chat tool. Even if you don’t have an Apple device, you may now join your friends and family members when they start a FaceTime video chat or conference. However, it does not function as an app on your Android or Windows PC. To join a FaceTime call, you must first get an invitation. Let’s find out more in the sections below.

How to Use FaceTime on an iPhone with an Android Phone or a Windows Computer

FaceTime allows Apple users to make free video calls to other Apple users. You may establish a FaceTime connection to share with Android or Windows users now that Apple enables non-Apple users to join FaceTime calls.

To begin, only Apple users will be able to establish the FaceTime call connection. You must use the FaceTime app on your Apple iPhone to do so. Before you may create the connection on your FaceTime app, you must upgrade your Apple software to macOS Monterey for iMac and MacBook computers, iPadOS 15 for iPad tablets, and iOS 15 for iPhone mobile devices.

It’s important to note that when non-Apple users join a FaceTime video chat, they may see your caller ID. That means they may see your phone number or email address, depending on how you activated FaceTime.
